Authentic Ancient Roman Earrings - Gold with blue glass beads - 1st - 4th. Century A.D.

This is a FANTASTIC pair of authentic Roman earrings made of gold, decorated with blue glass beads on the pendants.

This set has been dated to the first to fourth century A.D. thus making it at least 1600 years old!

Each earring is some 3 long and together they weigh 2.76 grams or some 1.38 grams each.

The set is in STUNNING, unrestored condition and was unearthed at a dig site in the ancient Roman province of Moesia which roughly corresponds to parts of Serbia and Bulgaria in the Balkan region, Eastern Europe, an area where the Romans often went to war to subdue the East Celts.

Holding this artifact in one's hands, one can almost feel the power, glory and might of the Roman Empire!

Everybody can go to the shopping mall and simply pick a new piece of jewelry out of enormous stocks of freshly made items but how many of you have ever given (or gotten!) a present to a near or dear one with such history embedded into it, such character, the patina of 1600 years battling the elements and so unique that there is truly only ONE of it in the world?

Imagine that 1600 years ago, a Roman citizen had this set commissioned and gave it to his beloved wife...

Wouldn't it be great if some 1600 years later, this process would be repeated?

We qualify this set as unrestored in near mint condition and perfectly wearable.

PLEASE NOTE:
This is NOT a copy of any kind. This is an authentic 1600 year old set!

Only 1 set available of course.
