Authentic Ancient Roman Pendant with Carnelian Stone - Gold - 4th. Century A.D.
This is a STUNNING authentic Roman pendant made of gold.
It has been dated to the fourth century A.D. thus making it 1600 years old!
It is approximately 15 mm tall including the hoop and carries a beautiful teardrop shaped intaglio made of carnelian stone.
It is in EXCELLENT, original condition and was unearthed at a dig site in the ancient Roman province of Moesia which roughly corresponds to parts of Serbia and Bulgaria in the Balkan region, Eastern Europe, an area where the Romans often went to war to subdue the East Celts.
Holding this artifact in one's hands, one can almost feel the power, glory and might of the Roman Empire!
